Major shake up that may saw off some of the national team coaches is eminent if the bitterness that laced the voice of Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) technical committee chairman, Taiwo Ogunjobi over the spate of failures recorded by national teams at recent international championships is anything to go by.
The coaches most likely to be affected are Felix Ibe Ukwu who took the Flamingoes to the maiden FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in New Zealand; Daniel Evumena’s Falconets recording a poor outing at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Chile; Jossy Lad’s Super Falcons disastrous African Women Championship outing in Equatorial Guinea; Ladan Bosso’s West African Football Union (WAFU) Cup quarter final loss to the Senegalese side and perhaps Okey Emordi depending on the outcome of his lads  encounter against Ghana’s home side on Sunday in Calabar.
Describing the series of woeful results as a national embarrassment, Ogunjobi who said the football house gave the coaches able hands in their respective assignments, indicated that the technical committee of the NFF will meet next week to take a firm stand on the coaches and dwindling fortune of our football.
“We are worried by the spate of failures recorded by our teams at recent international engagements.
“The technical committee will meet next week to look at what happened and proffer solution aimed at stopping further drift.
“The coaches enjoyed maximum support from us including the choice of players to use, so for us to have equipped them adequately and they still failed to reciprocate the gesture with good results means that something is wrong and must be addressed. The coaches note books will be reviewed and appropriate decision will be taken.
“We are not happy; those failures were an embarrassment to the federation and to the nation.”
On the fate of Coach Ladan Bosso whose ward failed to cross the quarter final hurdle mounted by youthful Senegalese lads at the WAFU Cup competition in Warii, Delta state and are due to campaign at the African Youth Championship (AYC) in Kigali, Rwanda, the former General Manager of 3SC told vandykesport.com that the loss was painful and would be addressed.
“It is another painful result, another embarrassing result. We thought they would have won the cup, however their case would be looked into especially as the team is representing the country at the next year African Youth Championship event in Rwanda,” he said
